Welcome to TAPS - The Arts Project Syracuse, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free painting instruction to under-resourced kids in Syracuse, New York.

Our mission is to empower children of Onondaga County NY through the arts and provide them with the tools they need to express themselves through the art of painting.

Our teachers are passionate about art and have a deep connection to the community they serve. Many of them grew up going to the Boys and Girls Club in Syracuse, where they now teach painting and other arts education programs. They understand firsthand the importance of having access to teachers who look like the students they teach. This facilitates a connection between the student and the teachers that leads to quality arts education. TAPS is committed to making arts education accessible to all children in Syracuse.

At TAPS, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. We offer a safe and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and express themselves through painting.

We are humbled and honored to be able to offer arts education services to kids who would not otherwise have access. We believe that art has the power to transform lives and communities, and we are committed to making it accessible to everyone.
