Welcome to TAPS - The Arts Project Syracuse, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free dance instruction to under-resourced kids in Syracuse, New York. Our mission is to offer arts education services to children who would not otherwise have access, and we are proud to be making a difference in our community.

Members of our team of experienced teachers grew up going to The Boys and Girls Club in which they now teach dance and other arts education programs. They are passionate about sharing their love of dance with the next generation and helping children discover their own creativity and self-expression through movement. We also feel it is important for the teachers to reflect the diversity of the community they serve.

At TAPS, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore the arts and develop their talents, regardless of their background or financial situation. We are committed to breaking down barriers and providing a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

We offer a range of dance classes for children in grades K through 8 and are looking to expand to highschool students. We pull from a variety of dance disciplines such as, ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, and more. Our classes are designed to be fun, engaging, and challenging, helping children build confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills.

We are so humbled and honored to be able to offer arts education services to kids who would not otherwise have access. We believe that the arts have the power to transform lives and communities, and we are committed to making a positive impact in Syracuse through our programs.
